A Low GWP, Nonflammable Refrigerant Replacement for R-410A
Chemours is committed to developing refrigerant options that address the changing needs of the industry and environmental concerns. One versatile refrigerant in its portfolio is the non-ozone depleting, low global warming potential (GWP) Opteon™ XP41 (R-463A).
This hydrofluoroolefin (HFO) based refrigerant saves time and avoids the need for redesign when it's used to replace R-410A in retrofits and new equipment. Many applications benefit from using Opteon™ XP41, including low- and medium-temperature commercial and industrial direct expansion (DX) refrigeration. The refrigerant also is a good match to the demands of supermarket refrigeration systems including centralized rack systems, distributed systems, walk-in coolers/freezers, and prep rooms.
